Dag 9/Day 9: jungle bij stal/jungle at the stables
Voor mijn werk als vrijwilliger start, heb ik de eer te mogen rijden. Dus hup, om 6.15 uur de wekker en om 7.30 op het paard! Deze foto is genomen tijdens de zonsverduistering.
Just before I start with my volunteer job, I’ve got the honour to ride. So at 6.15 the alarm goes off and at 7.30 I can ride. This photo has been taken during the eclipse. 
Dag 10/Day 10: MRT
Ik heb de ‘Mass Rapid Transit’ wel eens genoemd in een blog. Het is wat wij de metro noemen.
I’ve mentioned the ‘Mass Rapid Transit’ in an earlier blog. It’s what we call the subway in The Netherlands.
Dag 11/Day 11: RDA
Ik werk als vrijwilliger bij de Riding for the Disabled association. Soms leid ik het paard, soms ben ik assistent instructeur.
I’m working as a volunteer at the Riding for the Disabled association. Sometimes I’m a horse leader, sometimes I’m an Assistant Instructor.
Dag 12/Day 12: wetmarket Chinatown complex
Vaak ga ik voor verse boodschappen naar de markt. Die zijn in Singapore overdekt en vaak in hetzelfde gebouw (andere verdieping of plek) als een hawker center en een aantal kraampjes met kleding en andere marktwaar.
Mostly I go to the wetmarket for fresh groceries. In Singapore these markets are inside and share a building with a hawker center and other market stalls (clothing etc).
Dag 13/Day 13: Het zwembad in the Clift/The pool at the Clift
Bas en ik vierden onze verjaardagen bij het zwembad en de barbecue in de condo waar we wonen.
Bas and I were celebrating our birthdays at the pool and barbecue place of the condo where we live. 
Dag 14 /Day 14: Bugis

Dag 15/Day 15: ons uitzicht/our view
Dit is het uitzicht vanuit onze woonkamer vlak na zonsopkomst.
This is the view from our apartment just after sunrise.
Dag 16/Day 16: CBD
Dit is slechts één blok bij ons vandaan. Als je de linker straat in kijkt, zie je het kruispunt van de foto van vorige week. Dit is echter midden in het Central Business District.
This is only one block away from us. If you look into the left street, you see the crossing from last weeks’ photo. This is right in the middle of the Central Business District though.
