It’s been a while since my last post, but that doesn’t mean I been sitting still. On the contrary, I find myself busier then ever. And now the count down has started, because in January, we will go back to The Netherlands.
I’m living here for quite a while now, but it still feels like nothing. On the other hand, I’ve built up a life on this side of the world, with friends, favorite places, a job that I love and really good food. And it all feels familiar.
Time flies! We’ve done so much in the past 2,5 years, I lost count. And there is more on the bucket list! We don’t have a lot of time to tick all the boxes, but I’m giving it a serious try.
That means the coming months, I’ll be flying from one place to another with (very) short breaks in Singapore in between.
The time to say goodbye, is already here. I know, 4 months sounds like a long time, but in Singapore I’m not the only one coming and going whenever I please.
Going back has 2 sides. Of course I’d like to see my family and Dutch friends on a more regular basis again, but I will miss some of the people I met here. Apart from that, I’m definitely going to miss the food and my job as an assistent instructor at the RDA.
However, I’m gonna make the best of it the next few months! Maybe you will read a ‘Blond in Phuket’, ‘Blond in Japan’ or ‘Blond in New Zealand’ blog soon (just naming three of the upcoming destinations).

Aftellen
Het is een tijdje geleden sinds mijn laatste blog, maar dat betekent niet dat ik heb stil gezeten. In tegendeel, ik ben drukker dan ooit. En nu is het aftellen begonnen, want in januari, gaan we terug naar Nederland.
Ik woon hier nu een tijdje, maar het voelt nog erg pril. Aan de andere kant heb ik een leven opgebouwd aan deze kant van de wereld met vrienden, favoriete plekken, een ontzettend leuke baan en fantastisch eten. En alles voelt vertrouwd…
De tijd vliegt! We hebben zoveel gedaan de afgelopen 2,5 jaar dat ik de tel kwijt ben. En onze ‘bucket-list’ heeft nog steeds niet-afgestreepte items. We hebben geen tijd meer om alles af te werken, maar ik ga wel mijn best doen.
Dat betekent dat ik de komende maanden van de ene naar de andere plek vlieg met (erg) korte pauzes in Singapore er tussendoor.
Het is al tijd om gedag te gaan zeggen. Ik weet dat 4 maanden nog best lang lijkt, maar in Singapore ben ik niet de enige die van hot naar her reist wanneer ik daar zin in heb.
Teruggaan heeft twee kanten. Natuurlijk vind het leuk om mijn familie en Nederlandse vrienden weer regelmatiger te zien, maar ik zal sommige mensen die ik hier heb ontmoet wel gaan missen. Daarnaast ga ik zeker het fantastische eten missen en mijn baantje als assistent instructrice bij de RDA.
Hoe dan ook, ik ga er het beste van maken de komende tijd. Misschien lees je binnenkort wel een ‘Blond in Phuket’, ‘Blond in Japan’ of ‘Blond in Nieuw-Zeeland’ blog (ik noem maar even drie van de bestemmingen die we gaan aandoen).
